Seafarers Way

Seafarers Way is specifically designed to accommodate people with Alzheimer’s and dementia. With a mixture of thirty eight one and two bedroom self contained apartments and a friendly, caring,homely atmosphere it makes makes an ideal setting for anyone who is finding it difficult living in their own home, but who does not want to move into a residential care.

At Seafarers we aid independent living and fully understand the needs of those who live in our community We look after every aspect of what is needed to provide a fit for purpose and supportive extra care environment.

Our scheme is fully staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and hosts a number of engaging and meaningful activities throughout the day. Each self-contained apartment provides a double bedroom, shower room and fitted kitchen with full access to communal areas, which include comfortable lounge areas, hairdressing salon, healthy living suite, restaurant/café and participation kitchen to encourage resident activity and reminiscence.

Every aspect of our scheme is supportive to individual needs whilst aiding independence in an environment that has a home from home feeling  right down to the colour of the paints used, cutlery needed and heritage artwork to encourage memory recall; conversation points and way finding.
